Peradeniya Botanical Gardens
Arrival Meet at the Katunayake International Air Port and check in to a Hotel In Colombo/ Mt Lavinia.
Leave for Kandy Visiting the Elephant orphanage En route. Witness the bottle-feeding of orphaned baby Elephants and Elephants bathing and frolicking in the river after their meal. After the tour in Pinnawela visit an Herbal and Spice Garden en route to Kandy
Kandy is the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, which is a world heritage site. The name Kandy conjures vision of splendor of magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last king Sri Wickramarajasinghe in 1806; visit the Kandy town bazaar, the arts and the crafts center and a gem museum and lapidary. In the evening visit the temple of the tooth relic and witness a traditional cultural dance show. Overnight stay in Kandy
After breakfast leave for botanical Gardens in Peradeniya and leave for Nuwara Eliya visiting a Tea Factory en route. Evening Drive round the city and stay over night in N’ Eliya
After early Breakfast leave for Horton Plains and Bakers Falls. Horton plain is a hauntingly desolate, windswept plateau set at an elevation of over 2000 meters from the sea level. A world apart from rest of Sri Lanka the plains offer excellent trekking including a circular 9 Km walk to the Worlds end, where the hill plunges dramatically for near 1000 m offering marvelous views of to the South.. Herds of Sambar deer, beautiful lizards and many endemic bird species enhance the Horton Plains experience. Return to Nuwara Eliya. After lunch leave for Ella Visit Sita Amman Kovil en rout. Visit Ravana falls. Stay overnight in Ella. Ella the small town has a long history involving Rama and Ravana of the Indian epic Ramayana. It was in Ella where King Ravana held Queen Sita imprisoned until she was rescued by Prince Rama. Every water fall, rock , stream is named after Sita and Ravana. Ella surpasses all other places in sheer spectacular scenic beauty
After Breakfast Leave for Yala National Park go on a Safari in Yala. Yala National Park is the most popular Wild life sanctuary among the visitors who come to the country. See the large herds of Elephants, Spotted deer, Sambur, Barking deer, Monkey, Wild Boer, wild buffalo. Sloth bear, and wide varieties of bird species endemic and migratory. Witness the majestic Peacock performing its mating dance with the colorful plumes spread. Stay overnight in Yala
Leave for Galle/ Unawatuna. Tour Galle fort. Overnight stay in Galle/ Unawatuna. Galle fort is a world heritage site. Wander through the old buildings of the fort with a history dating back to 1587 when the Portuguese took Galle from the Singhalese kings.
