Detailed Itinerary
- Meet at the airport thereafter check in to a hotel in Mt Lavinia.
- Leave for Pinnawala elephant Orphanage in time to witness the bottle-feeding of orphaned baby Elephants and Elephants bathing and frolicking in the river after their meal
- Proceed to Sigiriya
- Climb Sigiriya rock fortress in the Morning after breakfast.
- Go on a safari in the Minneriya National Park in the afternoon where you can see herds of majestic elephants visiting the lake to quench their thirst prior to retiring for the day.
- Stay overnight in Sigiriya
Sigiriya was declared a world heritage site by the UNESCO built by the King Kassapa in the 5th Century BC. Renowned historians consider Sigiriya the 8th Wonder of the World. Marvel the world famous Sigiriya frescoes, water ponds built on top of the rock.
- Leave for Kandy which is the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, which is a world heritage site.
- In the evening visit the Temple of Tooth relic witness a traditional cultural dance show.
- Stay overnight in Kandy
Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last King Sri Wickramarajasinghe in 1806; visit the Kandy town bazaar, the arts and the crafts center and a gem museum and lapidary.
- Visit the botanical Gardens in Peradeniya after breakfast which was established in 1821, easily one of the best of its kind in the world.
- Proceed to N’ Eliya
- Visit a tea factory en route.In the evening leisurely stroll through the city.
- Dinner and overnight stay in N’ Eliya.
It is called the hill station by the English. This is a very picturesque location almost1950 Meters above sea level with its soft English spring climate. The town is decorated with buildings ranging in style from Georgian to Queen Anne.
- Leave for Ella visit Ravana falls and Proceed to Galle.
- Stay overnight in Galle.
- Stay overnight in Sigiriya.
Galle fort is a world heritage site. Wander through the old buildings of the fort with a history dating back to 1587 when the Portuguese took Galle from the Singhalese kings.
- Leave for Wadduwa visit a turtle Hatchery on the way.
- Go on excursion on the Bentota River.
- Stay overnight in Wadduwa
- Relax in the hotel
- Leave to the airport for departure
