Location

From the Bandaranaike International Airport and on the way southwards to Yala Village is an approx 8 hour drive where you will pass Sri Lanka’s capital, the metropolitan city of Colombo and then reach the historic town of Galle.As you continue further along the south coast you will come across many historic places of interest and breathtaking sceneries. Finally you will complete the long journey to Yala Village which  is situated at Kirinda, on the southernmost tip of Sri Lanka.

Each luxurious air-conditioned chalet features an animal design element in its interior décor thus creating a unique atmosphere. Deer, monkey and peacock themed chalets are painted in vibrant colors. For those who wish to travel and unravel the mysteries of the Yala Wildlife Sanctuary, there are Safari Jeeps provided together with tours on request.They have designed several packages to mainly give you an idea of safari programs possible in and around Yala.The Half Day Safari at Yala National Park is a tour usually which takes around 3 to 4 hours and you get to see animal activity in the park. Full Day Safari of Yala Wildlife Park is a deep jungle safari where you jungle off the beaten tracks in pursuit of some of the rarer animals such as the elusive leopard and bear.There is also a full Day Bird Watching Safari at Yala Wildlife Park. The Half Day Situlpahuwa Monastic Settlement Tour is a visit to  an ancient archaeological site.The Overnight Safari Camp at Bundala lets you experience The general atmosphere which is the one of tranquility and relaxation under the star studded skies on a secluded beach beside a cozy camp fire.Night Safari in Yala Buffer Zone is a unique perspective to a wild life safari where animals are known to roam outside the park as the boundaries of the Park are no barrier to the free roaming animals.
