Leave for Habarana enroute visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela . Witness the bottle-feeding of the orphaned baby Elephants , Elephants bathing and frolicking in the river after their meal. Check in to a Hotel in Habarana. Go on an elephant ride in the jungles of Habarana in the afternoon. Stay overnight in Habarana.
After breakfast , climb the Sigiriya Rock fortress considered as the 8th wonder of the world. The King Kassapa built the Sigiriya Rock fortress in 5th century AD also known as the Lion rock the king’s palace was on top of the rock with water ponds etc. Marvel the world famous frescoes on the wall depicting goddesses from heaven. Afternoon relax in Hotel .
Leave for Kandy. Kandy was the capital of the Last kingdom of Singhalese Kings, Undoubtedly the most beautiful city in the Island.
Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last king Sri Wickramarajasinghe in 1806; visit the Kandy town bazaar, the arts and the crafts center, a gem museum , lapidary,. Kings Palace and the Queens Pavilion (The Bath House of the Queen) thereafter witness a traditional cultural dance show. Stay overnight in Kandy.
Visit The Peradeniya Botanical Gardens in the morning. Peradeniya botanical garden established in 1821 is easily one of the best of its kind in the world. The many beautiful sections of the garden provide a burst of tropical color. After Visiting the Gardens Leave for Nuwara Eliya. On the way Visit a Tea Estate and a Factory. Nuwara Eliya is the land of peace, and silence. Nuwara Eliya was called the hill station by the English. This is a very picturesque location almost1950 Meters above sea level with its soft cool English spring climate. The town is decorated with buildings ranging in style from Georgian to Queen Anne. Parks, trout streams, 18 hole golf course, the old Anglican Church the Hill club of the British planters with its hunting photos. In the evening stroll through the city and stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
After early Breakfast leave for Horton Plains and Bakers Falls. Horton plain is a hauntingly desolate plateau set at an elevation of over 2000 meters from the sea level. A world apart from rest of Sri Lanka. The plains offer excellent trekking including a circular 9 Km walk to the Worlds end, where the hill plunges dramatically for near 1000 m offering marvelous views of to the South. A dawn start is advisable as the clouds roll in by mid morning. You could see Herds of Sambar deer, beautiful lizards and many endemic bird species enhance the Horton Plains experience and there is always the hope of a glimpse of a leopard.

Uda Walawe National Park is famous for Herds of Elephants. Ella the small town has a long history involving Rama and Ravana of the Indian epic Ramayana. It was in Ella where King Ravana held Queen Sita imprisoned until she was rescued by Prince Rama. Every water fall, rock, stream is named after Sita and Ravana. Leave for Galle. Visit the historic Galle fort which is a world heritage site. The Galle city boasts of a recorded history dating back to 545 AD. .The famous Arab Navigator Ibn Batuta landed in the Galle port and Galle became famous with the Spice traders fro Arab. The Portuguese occupied Galle in 1505 Galle city Until the Dutch took it over in 1640. Finally the British turned the Galle fort in to a administrative center in 1796.
Wander through the old buildings of the fort with a history dating back to 1587 when the Portuguese took Galle from the Singhalese kings.
