Day 1
Meet at the Katunayake Air port. Check in to a Hotel in Colombo.
Day 2
Morning depart for Sinharaja reserve through Ratnapura the Gem city. Visit a Gem museum in Ratnapura. If possible also a Gem Mine witness how the valuable gem stones are unearthed, Stay overnight in Sinharaja Rain forest.
Day 3
Trek in the Sinharaja rain forest reserve, which is declared as a world Heritage nature reserve. Witness the variety of indigenous plants and animals, Flowing Rivers covering an expanse of 9800 hectares of forest.Leave for Tangalle in the afternoon m Stay overnight in Tangalle.
Day 4
Early morning leave for Yala. Go on a safari in Yala Wild life sanctuary where we get to see large herds of elephants, spotted deer, sambar, barking deer, monkey, wild boar, wild buffalo. sloth bear, and wide varieties of bird species endemic and migratory. Witness the majestic Peacock performing its mating dance with its colorful plumes spread. Spend the Night in Yala National Park.
Day 5
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya the hill station as the British called it situated in the hills at an elevation of 6200 feet above Sea Level. Wander through trails of British colonial era with buildings ranging from Georgian to Queen Anne, Golf course with 18 holes, The hill club of the English Tea Planters. Visit Ravana falls on the Way to Nuwara Eliya. Stay the Night in N’ Eliya
Day 6
Proceed to Horton plains and Bakers Falls. Drive through the desolate plateau set at an elevation of over 2134 meters from the sea level. A world apart from rest of Sri Lanka the plains offer excellent trekking including a circular 9 Km walk to the Worlds end, where the hill plunges dramatically for near 1700 m offering marvelous view of to the South. And leave for Kandy a world heritage city declared by the UNESCO visiting a tea factory en rout. Overnight stay in Kandy
Day 7
After breakfast visit The Temple of Tooth relic the most venerated temples of all Buddhists. Observe the Chanting and ancient tradition of drumming performed to pay homage to the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha enshrined in a casket. Go on a city tour in Kandy the capital of the Last kingdom of Singhalese Kings, Undoubtedly the most beautiful city in the Island. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last king Sri Wickramarajasinghe in 1806; visit the Kandy town bazaar, the arts and the crafts center, late afternoon witness a cultural dance show.
Day 8
Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens established in 1821 is easily one of the best of its kind in the world. There after proceed to Dambulla Rock cave temples dating back to 1st century B.C. Marvel the beautiful Ceiling paintings over 2000 years old. Visit a herbal and a spice garden on the way. Stay overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 9
Climb Sigiriya rock fortress declared a world heritage site by the UNESCO built by the king Kassapa in the 5th Century BC. Sigiriya is considered the 8th Wonder of the World by renowned historians. Marvel the world famous Sigiriya frescoes, water ponds built on top of the rock. Visit Minneriya National Park famous for Large and small herd of Elephants, located in the Elephant corridor in the Afternoon.
Day 10
Visit the mediaeval capital Polonnaruwa. (11th century &12 century) after breakfast. Polonnaruwa was the Capital after the fall of Anuradhapura. See the ruins of once a beautiful city fortified with three concentric walls, parks, Gardens, and many shrines. Experience an Elephant ride to the jungles of Habarana in the afternoon.
Day 11
Tour Anuradhapura the first Capital of Sri Lanka founded in 5th century BC and is considered as the cradle of Sri Lanka’s civilization Anuradhapura has the words largest archeological sites. Leave for Negombo to a star class resort to relax after 11 days of excitement of experiencing unique Sri Lanka.
